Android Fitness & Weight Loss Apps Q2 2024: US Market Snapshot

In the second quarter of 2024, the Android platform saw varied performance among the top fitness and weight loss programs in the US. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into the trends for downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these applications.

komoot - hike, bike & run observed a fluctuating revenue trend starting at nearly $10K and closing the quarter around $8K. Downloads showed a descending trend from 6K to 3K, while weekly active users dipped initially but recovered to approximately 45K by the end of the quarter.

Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner demonstrated a steady revenue pattern, beginning the quarter with $409 and peaking at $583. Downloads peaked at 3.5K in April and then tapered off to 2.8K in June. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 36K to 38K mark throughout the quarter.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike showed an overall stable revenue with some fluctuations, starting at around $15K and dipping to around $10K by the end of Q2. Downloads maintained a steady pace, ranging from 2.9K to 3.5K. Weekly active users saw a high of 152K in April, with slight ups and downs, ending at around 144K.

Basic-Fit, while not generating revenue, had a consistent download count starting at 2.7K and ending the quarter slightly lower at 2.5K. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting at 86K and growing to 90K by the quarter's end.

Step Counter - Pedometer had negligible revenue figures, but downloads began at 2.5K, peaked at 3.3K in May, and then dropped to under 2K. Weekly active users experienced a rise from around 8.5K to 10K midway through the quarter before falling back to just over 8.8K.
